I am trying to start up The Community Parenting Society
first with a focus on single parents due to the uniqueness of their challenges
of parenting on their own. Â I hope to host dinners to assist single
parents in meeting other single parents to build community. From that community
I hope to facilitate child care sharing arrangements to allow parents a night
off to take some time for themselves. And finally I hope to work
with lawyers, tax experts and mortgage brokers to assist single parent
families to join together and co-purchase multi-unit homes to get their foot
into the real estate market.
What I hope to do with the money is incorporate the society
and get a website going to start the first phase of community building –
regular community building dinners.
I also hope to meet like minded individuals who will join me
by sitting on the board of this society as I need 5 people in order to even
start a society.
