ASC IV – Awesomers and their stuff

The fourth Awesome Shit Club at the Fort St Cafe on Monday October 24, 2001 was, well, awesome!  Seven finalists made it to the stage, and told everyone about their passions, ideas, ventures, and goals.  Some have been working on their project for over a decade, and just need a little more to finish it off, others had big ideas for a new business that would rocket them forward with hands on experience, and everything in between.  Whether you made it to the event, or you had your own projects that kept you busy, here they are:

Erik Piikkila presented The Da Vinci Code of the Forests of the Pacific Northwest, check out his blog.

Naz Khedri presented “Donations, Volunteering, and Making Money” to raise funds for a Hawaiin shaved ice stand for next summer.

Marc Pinkonski presented Free Knowledge Project (WINNER!)

Mike DeWolfe presented Crowd Publishing — write that screenplay/novel with help

David Pankhurst presented his plans to make available a DIY and cheap braille reader “Open Sourcing Assistive Technology”

Rik Leaf presented Four Homeless Millionaires World Premiere to raise funds for the book launch

Lisa Preston presented Please help the Ross Bay ‘Villains’ finish the Oilcloth already, take a giant leap into the past, right on Fairfield Rd!
