I was asked to run an event in Vancouver for startup week, and I can think of no other way than to introduce Awesome Shit Club to this amazing city (lanyrd link)! If you’ve not heard of it, we’re a micro version of Dragon’s Den, where 10-20 people will put $50 of their hard earned cash into a pot, and then the 10 awesomers (finalists) will pitch them, 5 minutes each to convince these awesomites (judges) that there awesome shit is better than the others. Each awesomite will give each pitch thumbs up or thumbs down; whoever gets the most thumbs up gets all the cash, no strings attached! Full details here.
In order to make this happen, I need at least 10 awesomites. This means you! If you can afford $50 and want to be a judge, give me the cash by October 16th. If I have at least $500 by that day, I’ll officially confirm the event. If not, I’ll give you your cash back.
If you can afford more than $50, or are a business and would like to sponsor a more generous prize, we’ll add you to the high score list and mention you on social media and the night of the event. This is all about making the community even more awesome!
