Creative Coworkers

I’m developing a creative technology co-working studio. We’re moving from an informal studio into a new space and making it even awesomer.

Apart from being an awesome place for freelancers and small business creative professionals to work, AND to hire each other for projects, giving them more opportunity to increase their client offer, it will also be a cornerstone for community information and resource sharing.

From technical and physical resources (printers, projectors, computers etc.) to groundswell buying power (group health care, discounts on everything from memberships to food to services) to intellectual property resources (workshops, forums, lunch and learns), this space will be intent on developing a supportive community.

The intention will be to create cohesion and strength within the community. Special attention will be given to opportunities to support each other’s work and increase each other’s knowledge base and revenue potential.

Additionally, I’ll be developing a schedule of monthly arts and culture based events, open to the public, showcasing local artists.

I would use the money from the Awesome Shit Club to build out our online presence – a website as well as social media elements. And maybe to buy a candy dispenser for dispensing gourmet coffee beans.
