I have an awesome idea. It basically consists of me scouring the lower mainland ( garage sales, Craigslist, value village etc) looking for used furniture. Refinishing said furniture. And selling for profit! BOOM
I know this isn’t exactly a new concept, but my wife and I have talked about this a number of times. We would love to have little home company – one day big??- refinishing old furniture. I believe we could do pretty good with the right pieces and finishes. Vancouver loves rustic right now. Selling like hotcakes!
I took an old dresser my buddy was about to throw out and turned it into a baby dresser/change table and everyone loves it. Super easy and looks great.
With a little kickstart -$$$- we would be able to pick up a few pieces and some paint/stain, maybe a few business cards, and get that investment working for us!
Ps. Maybe my wife will stop nagging me about it…
