This is a “gap in the market”

I want to make a collaboration website where people submit designs and people can donate money so that open source devices and techniques can be tested independently. Then the results are published for a worldwide audience.

There are also  “missing links” in common processes. For instance, talented guys make superb high precision parabolic mirror solar concentrators that can melt rocks, but cannot make a simple tracking system for them. So they are useless! Just toys. Money would be directed towards making  decent low tech or inexpensive  tracking systems so the toys become tools!

Nobody tests new open source medium tech devices. I made the first pulser pump in 1986 but it didn’t get any testing until 2010.

I have about 7 designs at solarcooking.org , I have won prizes for some of them BUT they have never tested one of them. Thats typical. They have annual income of over $900,000 but not a cent for R&D!

Windowfarms is the ONLY group that I know of where they ACTIVELY research different options.

I hope that Britta Riley of windowfarms can give me some advice on this.
