Legal resource and response protocols app for police

Hey Awesome Shit Club,

Problem: Legal resources and good response protocols for cops are spread out over a zillion sources and few are easily available on my smartphone.

Idea: Bring wicked search law material, core legislation, first responder protocols, and investigative guides together in one app for iOS/Android/Blackberry and create an accompanying website. Add key case law and updates, ability to mark favourites, good search functionality, ability to email snippets to the office, and it’s a great tool. Add night mode, legislation -> case law links, recent history, offline storage, sync with a website account and it’s a wicked tool. Add all this and some value-added templates for writing reports to Crown Counsel, search warrants, and bail hearings, and vest it all in a non-profit, and we’ve got something really sweet going on that fills huge gaps in our tools. Better information and education to cops means better policing for all of us and everyone goes home happy. Except the bad guys. Sounds like awesome shit to me!

Best,
