We're excited to announced partnering with our friends at the Victoria Film Festival as well as Tectoria, for this exciting 2 round version of ASC, where we're going to give away over $3,500 cash!
Instead of our regular single event at the Fort Street Cafe, instead of picking one winner, this time we'll be picking the top three finalists on Feb 6th. These finalists will move to round II at the Odeon Theatre II for the showing of the documentary "Something Ventured" on Feb 9th. All awesomites will be provided entry into the documentary as well, no extra charge!
Before the showing, our three finalists will present and the entire audience will vote for the winner! At the end of the show, we will announce the winner and provide them with over $3,500!

Attention all awesome people and projects in Victoria and area: The Awesome Shit Club V on Dec 5 at Fort Street Cafe 7pm is ON! The judges are clamoring at the site looking at the first couple submissions starting to trickle in, but we're extending the judge cutoff for a full week to pack the pot as full as possible, and get as many keen eyes and questions on deck for the event! Those of you that wanted to one day be a philanthropist and have your money do good in the world, here's a starting point: donate $50, attend the contest where 10 people pitch their ideas and projects, ask questions, vote (using a distributed 5 point system), and celebrate! Each winner will be coming back at a future event to share their progress and what they've accomplished with your support. ASC IV – Awesomers and their stuff
The fourth Awesome Shit Club at the Fort St Cafe on Monday October 24, 2001 was, well, awesome! Seven finalists made it to the stage, and told everyone about their passions, ideas, ventures, and goals. Some have been working on their project for over a decade, and just need a little more to finish it off, others had big ideas for a new business that would rocket them forward with hands on experience, and everything in between. Whether you made it to the event, or you had your own projects that kept you busy, here they are: Erik Piikkila presented The Da Vinci Code of the Forests of the Pacific Northwest, check out his blog. Naz Khedri presented "Donations, Volunteering, and Making Money" to raise funds for a Hawaiin shaved ice stand for next summer. Marc Pinkonski presented Free Knowledge Project (WINNER!)
